We had our latest ultrasound appointment this afternoon and found out that we are having a little baby boy! We were also able to confirm the due date of December 8th. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers during this pregnancy. He is developing well and everything looks great. More news regarding the Lundy man child to come…

Today Heather and I celebrate 8 years of wedded bliss!! I am amazed at all we’ve done and experienced in the past 8 years, and yet nothing could prepare us 100% for being parents.
I am so blessed to be married to such an amazing person as Heather. She is my best friend and the only one I want to come home to at the end of a long day. I love her more and more each day that goes by. Thanks for putting up with me sweetheart =).

The Lundy’s give a major congrats to Nate Killoren on his passing his Airline Transport Pilot license conversion exam in Kenya this week. This means that he can begin flying and doing all the things that God has called he and Ginna to do in Africa. This was a huge step for him and we are pretty proud.
I tend to think he passed because June is my birth month, but that might not be the case. Congrats Nate…we are proud of all the work you guys are doing.
Go visit the Killoren’s website at www.ngkilloren.com and see the work that they are doing in Northern Kenya and Southern Sudan.

We would like to announce that we are expecting our second child sometime in early December. We are thrilled, excited, nervous all at the same time!! This is really a dream come true for our family and we are happy that Ella will now have a (brother) sibling to play with (and to help keep her grounded). We will update you all as things progress but until then we would appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Ok so the reason nobody reads the blog is because I have a habit of not updating it…in over a year!! Obviously a lot of things have change and a lot of things have happened over the last year since I was in Seattle catching fish. I am going to take the next week or so to revamp the blog and keep you all updated a little more regularly.

As I sit here, Ella is wrapped up like a huge Chipotle burrito and sleeping soundly beside me. Sleep, strange thing eh? Heather and I have found one thing to be true over the past few days and that is whenever you think you have something figured out with this girl, the opposite is the truth. Whenever she should be tired, she’s awake. Whenever we think that there is no way she could be hungry, she’s ready to eat. She sleeps during the day and is wide eyed as we watch “Antique Roadshow” at 5 in the morning. Whenever you think there could be no earthly way a child her size had any more poop in her…..well you understand by now.
So we are working through some change right now in our lives, but I wouldn’t have it any other way really. She is two weeks old today, and during our visit to the pediatrician she said that Ella looks “amazing”. She is in the 90% in weight, and 97% in length and is strong as an ox (not literally). I might add that she has great lung capacity and can pass wind with the best of them!! What else can you ask for??!!
Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and words of encouragement for us.

“A happy family is but an earlier heaven” - Sir John Bowring

Ella is now over a week old and doing well. After spending the first few days with a touch of jaundice, she is now eating better and looking as healthy as can be expected and seems to have gained back most of her weight. She is sleeping well and playing more and more each day. She is very alert when awake and is already picking up her head on her own.
We’ve had lots of firsts already both for Ella and Mom and Dad…
Here is the short list of firsts for Ella
- trip out in the car
- bath
- playtime in the bouncer
- time alone with Mom
- time alone with Dad
- smile
- poop explosion
Here’s a short list of Mom and Dad firsts:
- time to cuddle with Ella on Dad’s chest
- trip out of house as a couple (thanks Grandmom)
- poop and pee explosion on Dad’s bare hands
- poop and pee explosion all over Mom (and anything in the vicinity)
- sleepless night

I can say that everyone told me that parenthood changed your life, but I never knew exactly how until now. Yes there are sleepless nights, yes there are poop explosions on your hand, yes there is loud crying but I wouldn’t trade it for the world!! This is the greatest thing to ever happen to me and I know it will just keep getting better and better as the days go on. I can’t wait to see what she will do next!!
Thank you to everyone for all your thoughts, prayers and support during this time. We are indebted to our family and friends who have done so much for us while we adjust. You are the best!
